SUBSIDIZED SHARES

Applications for subsidized shares are now being accepted.

Long Island City CSA works to help fresh, local, organic vegetables affordable to everyone! To apply for a subsidized share, families are asked to fill-out a short application.

Unfortunately, at this time we cannot accept EBT or SNAP payments. Subsidized share families can purchase any additional share or other add-ons, but the CSA cannot contribute towards the payment. We can only subsidize the vegetable share or a combined vegetable/fruit share.

Please answer the following questions honestly to the best of your ability. Applications will be reviewed and potential members will be contacted to review the payment plan. We will notify members about their subsidized status by the early to mid May.

Individuals chosen for subsidized shares must pay a deposit to secure their CSA membership. Payments will be due the first of every month for 3-4 months. Failure to pay will result in an immediate surrendering of your share. The $50 deposit is non-refundable, but can be put towards the purchase of a vegetable or other shares in the 2018 season.
